With all the classically named pets we’ve had (Penelope, Athena, Purrsephone [of course a cat], Psyche) we named our most recent cat Ajax. I couldn’t call him Achilles because he (Achilles) was such a jerk, so we chose the no. 2 Greek soldier. But now I know I’ll have to name a dog Achilles so I can tell him to heel!

That’s funny, Tracy! I had the same thought–about naming a dog Achilles just so I could make him heel.
